For all their claims to be Christian, the LDS does not believe in the God of Scripture.

Besides claiming that Noah is the angel Gabriel, the LDS claims that Adam is Michael the archangel. The problem is that angels and humans are two different creations: man cannot become an angel!! Adam was never noted in the Bible as a priest, let alone a high priest!

Wait a minute—I thought Adam was God, who had sex with Mary to produce a body for Jesus. Wait another minute—so Adam is a “son of God?” The LDS Adam is quite a convoluted person!

Why Did the Nephites Speak Greek?

Amusing to me is that the LDS still struggles with polygamy. If God ordered it, why did they stop—why did they not disobey the law of the land?

Along those lines, we have The Changing God of Mormonism.

The temple oaths are nothing more than signs and oaths from the Freemasonry cult.

But the LDS says that the earth was created for temple endowments—so how come there were no such things until aft Joe Smith invented them?

The Bible was never meant for today?!?!?

How did Joe Smith really get his priesthood?

Mormons say we don’t need God! Of course they also say there are multiple gods and people on other planets!

So, LDS members, doesn’t any of this make you think just a wee bit that there is a problem with your religion, that it doesn’t make a bit of sense?

Priesthood Nonsense

The Priesthood…is a perfect order and system of government, and this alone can deliver the human family from all the evils which now afflict its members, and insure them happiness and felicity hereafter.

Since the LDS priesthood is made up and there is no "perfect order or system of government" in it, how can it deliver anyone from evil and guarantee happiness?

Mormons Teach That They Are the Only True Church

 The Gospel we preach is the Gospel of life and salvation. The Church which we represent is the Church and Kingdom of God, and possesses the only faith by which the children of men can be brought back into the presence of our Father and God.

Sorry, Mr. Young, but as has been proven on this blog (and many others), the LDS is a false church built on a false prophet worshiping a man-god on another planet. There is NOTHING Christian about the LDS—not their god, their Jesus, nor their gospel.

What Is the Gospel?

[The Gospel] embraces all morality, all virtue, all light, all intelligence, all greatness, and all goodness. It introduces a system of laws and ordinances.

The biblical Gospel is much simpler. It is that we are all sinners before God and in need of a savior, and that Savior is Jesus the Messiah, who was born from a virgin and was sinless. Jesus took our punishment by being put to death on a cross and then raised from the dead, proving his sacrifice was acceptable to God the Father. He is our great high priest and those who place their faith in Him and his sacrifice are saved from hell and punishment in the afterlife.

It does NOT embrace all those ideas, laws and ordinances of which Mr. Young claims. Which is another example as to the false nature of the Mormon Church.

Testimony Requirement?

Three great truths must be included in every valid testimony: 1. That Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Savior of the world (D. & C. 46:13); 2. That Joseph Smith is the Prophet of God through whom the gospel was restored in this dispensation; and 3. That The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is “the only true and living church upon the face of the whole earth.” (D. & C. 1:30.)

Item 2: Well, Jesus said even the gates of hell wouldn’t prevail against the Church (Matt.16:18) so it couldn’t have been restored by Smith if it was never gone!! And if you look at my articles in October and November of 2014 you will see proof that Smith was one heck of a false prophet! So how can anyone have item 2 included in their testimony when the whole item is a lie?

Item 3: Since the LDS was founded by false prophet Joseph Smith, then the LDS is a FALSE and spiritually dead church.,

Works Are Not a Part of the Gospel

The Gospel of the Son of God that has been revealed is a plan or system of laws and ordinances.

Brigham Young is a liar. The Gospel as has been revealed in the Bible is that we are all sinners who need a savior, and that Savior is Jesus Christ. The real Gospel is that if we have faith in Jesus and believe he died for our sins, we are saved. There is absolutely NOT a “plan or system of laws and ordinances.” Neither made up laws nor any ordinance is required for salvation.  As Galatians 2:21 notes: I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. (KJV)

A Couple of Mormon Geography Problems

Where does the Bible say the Garden of Eden was? In the Middle East.

Where did Joseph Smith say the Garden of Eden was?  Jackson County, Missouri.

Which should you believe, the Bible or Smith?  Eden was definitely in the Middle East.

1 Nephi 2:8 says,  “And it came to pass that he called the name of the river, Laman, and it emptied into the Red Sea; and the valley was in the borders near the mouth thereof.”

As the blog, “Life After Ministry” points out,

“There has never been a river that empties into the Red Sea.  It’s surrounded by wilderness (desert) only.”

Just these two examples should be enough for anyone to question the Book of Mormon and its author, Joseph Smith.

History Invented to Support Lies

Monogamy, or restrictions by law to one wife, is no part of the economy of Heaven among men. Such a system was commenced by the founders of the Roman Empire. That empire was founded on the banks of the Tiber by wandering brigands. When these robbers founded the city of Rome, it was evident to them that their success in attaining a balance of power with their neighbours, depended upon introducing females into their body politic, so they stole them from the Sabines, who were near neighbours. The scarcity of women gave existence to laws restricting one wife to one man. Rome became the mistress of the world, and introduced this order of monogamy wherever her sway was acknowledged. Thus this monogamic order of marriage, so esteemed by modern Christians as a holy sacrament and divine institution, is nothing but a system established by a set of robbers.

Young’s history of Rome and the Roman Empire is unrecognized by historians; Young made it up as a way to support the unsupportable polygamist system invented by Joseph Smith to cover for his serial adultery.

Reed Peck Manuscript

An interesting document describing the dictatorial reign of Joseph Smith in Missouri and the resulting “Mormon War” was originally written in 1839, known as the Reed Peck Manuscript. The Utah Lighthouse Ministry, in Salt Lake City, published a typed transcription of this document. It is subtitled, “An Important Document Written in 1839 Concerning the Mormon War in Missouri and the Danite Band.”

Just to demonstrate the unbiblical nature of Mormonism and its leaders, below you will find some examples of quotations taken from this publication. Page numbers are in the edition reprinted by the Utah Lighthouse Ministry, Salt Lake City, UT. Punctuation added to help comprehension.

[On Sunday, June 17, 1839], S. Rigdon took his text from the fifth chapter of Matthew, “Ye are the salt of the earth but if the salt have lost his savour wherewith shall it be salted, it is henceforth good for nothing but to be  cast out and be trodden under foot of men.” From this scripture he undertook to prove that when men embrace the gospel [of Mormonism] and afterwards lost their faith it is the duty of the Saints to trample them under their feet. He informed the people that they had a set of men among them that had dissented from the church and were doing all in their power to destroy the presidency laying plans to take their lives &c., accused them of counterfeiting, lying, cheating, and numerous other crimes and called on the people to rise en masse and rid the county of such a nuisance. He said it is the duty of this people to trample them into the earth and “if the county cannot be freed from them any other way I will assist to trample them down or to erect a gallows on the square of Far West and hang them up as they did the gamblers at Vicksburg and it would be an act at which the angels would smile with approbation.” Joseph Smith in a short speech sanctioned what had been said by Rigdon, though said he, “I don’t want the brethren to act unlawfully but will tell them one thing; Judas was a traitor and in stead of hanging himself was hung by Peter,” and with this hint the subject was dropped for the day, having created a great excitement and prepared the people to execute any thing that should be proposed.

A friend of long standing…said that if Joseph Smith should tell him to cut my throat he would do it without hesitation. I heard expressions of this nature from several and shuddered at the thought of living in a community where the nod of one man if displeased would deprive an individual of every privilege  and even life if the consequence had not been feared more by him than his followers.

[Sampson Avard said] “No person shall be suffered to speak evil of disrespectfully of the presidency.”

I was appointed Adjutant of the [Danite] band in consequence I suppose of my holding that office in the 59th Reg, Missouri Militia. I did not think it policy to reject the appointment though I declared to my trusty friends that I would never act in the office—All the principles of the Society [Daughters of Zion, i.e.,Danites] tended to give the presidency unlimited power over the property, persons and I might say with propriety lives of the members of the church as physical force was to be resorted to if necessary to accomplish their designs. The blood of my best friend must flow by my own hands if I would be a faithful Danite should the prophet command it.

In July the law of consecration took effect which required every person to give up to the bishop all surplus property of every description not necessary for their present support. Sampson Avard, the most busy actor and sharpest tool of the Presidency, informed John Corrill and Myself that “all persons who attempted to deceive and retain property that should be given up would meet with the fate of Ananias and Saphira who were killed by Peter.”

You’ll see the violence and murder instilled among the people, as well as the dictatorship of Joseph Smith, let alone the abject abuse of Scripture!  I can’t understand why Mormons who know of this history still believe it is from God!
