One of the first doctrines to disappear when apostasy conceives in the hearts of mortals is the fact that God is a glorified man. When people repress that doctrine, they forget who they really are and what they may become (cf. the Zoramites, Alma 31:15)
Katherine Thomas, Thoughts on Gospel Doctrine. H/T: Life After Ministry.
So, when Christians teach that God is a spirit, as Scripture says in John 4:24, that is an apostate doctrine?! Where in the Bible does it teach that God is a “glorified man”? This idea was invented by Joseph Smith and was never a doctrine of the Jews or Christians.
Numbers 23:19: God is not a man…neither the soon man…
1 Samuel 15:29: for [God] is not a man…
Hosea 11:9: For I am God, and not man…
Luke 39: …for a spirit hath not flesh and bones…
The Word of God is quite clear that God was never a man, but is an eternal spirit. The apostasy, and abject heresy, is the LDS doctrine of God as a man who had to earn his way to godhood.
This is followed by the heresy which say what we really are, are people who are earning our way to godhood also, and that we were spirit children of this god-man and his wives. Man was created by THE God who is a spirit with no body and had no sexual intercourse.
Mormons, you have been greatly deceived and worship a false god and false Christ, neither of which will save you from your sins.
