Oh, Really?!?

We do not have to prove the Book of Mormon is true. The book is its own proof. All we need to do is read it and declare it! The Book of Mormon is not on trial—the people of the world, including the members of the Church, are on trial as to what they will do with this second witness for Christ.

The Teachings of Ezra Taft Benson, pg. 63

Joseph Smith claimed he received ancient metal plates with “reformed Egyptian” writing on them, from an angel named Moroni. No one witnessed this event and later witnesses who claimed they saw the plates later recanted. And there is no such language as “reformed Egyptian” anywhere in the world.

A large percentage of The Book of Mormon is plagiarized directly from the KJV Bible and the rest is made up stories that have no evidence for them.

There are plenty of archaeological discoveries to verify what both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, as well as geological and geographical evidence. However, there are no archaeological, geographical or geological evidences for the Book of Mormon. NONE!

So with absolutely no supporting evidence, we are to just accept a document supposedly translated from a fake language into English?!? Anyone can write any “historical/religious” story and then claim that said book is its own proof of its veracity as to the religion and history but that is an illogical and irrational claim.

Then to say that the LDS members are on trial for what they do with this fraudulent book is just as irrational, because it is NOT any “second witness for Christ.” It is not a witness for anything except the some man made up a story and wrote it down.

Unlike the evidence for the Bible, there is nothing in history or archaeology to show how the Book of Mormon talks about real people, real places, and especially real events. It is nothing less than a book requiring total faith because the evidence just doesn’t correspond.
