If it wasn’t so sad to see these people try to defend their faith, it would be funny.
Case in point: Refer to my article regarding Joseph Smith supposedly being in charge of heaven.
If I don’t post their comments, I’m a coward. Which is total nonsense; I refuse to post comments promoting false teachings or with links to sites/articles with false teachings. That’s not cowardice, rather it is discernment to protect my readers from heresy and blasphemy.
Notice the comments I decided to post on that article so as to address them:
I am mocked because I believe the Bible is inerrant (although the first comment mentioned only the N.T.) while they believe a single person’s “Book of Mormon” is direct from God!
I’m still trying to figure out where I make straw man arguments or ad hominem attacks! BUT notice how many of the commenters resort to ad hominem attacks!
Then I’m considered a coward for not wanting to engage in live-stream debates, as if I have nothing better to do in my life. Yet these anonymous commenters are the cowards because they don’t want to be identified.
Another interesting comment was that this blog is defunct!!! Do they even look at the dates articles are posted?
Then the fun began because I noted that Joseph Smith made at least 62 false prophecies, proving he was a false prophet. They pull out the standard LDS claim of Jonah being a false prophet because Ninevah was not destroyed. If you look at my comments you’ll see I point out that what Jonah told the people was an “if/then” message from God, as God explains to Jeremiah in chapter 18:7-9:
At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it; If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them. (KJV)
Or a modern language version from the NIV: If at any time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be uprooted, torn down and destroyed, and if that nation I warned repents of its evil, then I will relent and not inflict on it the disaster I had planned.
But the last commenter posted totally ignored Jeremiah and Jonah’s knowing what would happen.
Now I really have to let my readers see just how un-Christian (well LDS aren’t Christian any way) these commenters are; I won’t post these last two on that blog but just here so readers can understand what I deal with on an almost daily basis. I’ll clean up the first one a wee bit with x’s:

I am anonymous because the retarded dumbass blogger Glenn E. Chatfield does not want people to access the truth of Latter-day Saint apologetics because he does not want to be exposed as a liar and a deceiver so shut the fxxx up. I don't go to Anti-Mormon websites that are full of lies and deceptions. How about you reach out to Timothy and request a live stream discussion if you have the bxxxs.

Dumb dumb dumb dumb this blog is dumb dumb dumb dumb. Glenn is a liar and a false teacher and a deceiver and a Satanic worshipper.
These sorts of comments are posted on many other articles and most do not get published.
The problem with these people is that I DO teach the truth about the LDS and they find it offensive—which is why they resort to such name-calling and foul language.
I’m still waiting for anyone to prove me wrong about Smith’s 62+ false prophecies, or anywhere else that I lie or misrepresent the LDS faith—you know, like actually discuss the articles instead of just calling names.
